The dumbest thing you can do

Banning Ballermann hits because they are misogynistic is like banning beer because it contains alcohol. The indignant did not understand anything.

Ouch. I have a catchy. And a very bad one: “Layla”. For days, the musical concoction stuck to my brain like superglue. This may be due to the chorus: “I got a brothel and my mother’s name in the brothel is Layla/She’s prettier, younger, hornier/La-la-la-la-la-la-la-Layla /La-la-la-la”. And so on.

Before you ask: I didn’t listen to the song on purpose, but for professional reasons. So sober. And that’s pretty much the worst thing you can do. “Layla” belongs to the genre of party songs, subgenre: Ballermann hit. Once you hear it, it’s very hard to get rid of it. Even with three per thousand.

You can sing songs like “Layla” even when you’re dead drunk. And find well, if you really want it. Although they are obviously sexist.

It’s all about crazy fun – and money

For people with reasonably normal musical socialization, song is the purest killer virus. Anyway, it’s a mystery to me that Robin Leutner and Michael Müller, who, well, the creators of this hit, were able to infect entire groups of listeners with their petty-bourgeois trash, were so ruthless.
