The heat wave holds Europe firmly in its grip – in Germany too the television program. Two broadcasters made changes for Tuesday.
RTL had planned “The King of Children’s Heads” on Tuesday evening. The game show, in which Guido Cantz, Martin Rütter and Oliver Pocher face off this time, is scheduled to take place at 8:15 p.m. But now the Cologne broadcaster has changed its schedule.
“Heat in Europe – Germany is sweating”
Instead of prime time, the format now only runs at 8:30 p.m. The reason for this change: the heat wave that Germany is facing. Because at 8:15 p.m., RTL now broadcasts “Heat in Europe – Germany is sweating”, a special program with the presenter of “RTL Aktuell” Peter Kloeppel.
In the show, the 63-year-old talks to RTL meteorological expert Bernd Fuchs about possible heat records and their consequences, according to a statement from the broadcaster. Additionally, the special “looks at the situation in the resort countries of the Mediterranean, where extreme heat and wildfires are causing problems for people.”
