Boris Becker has been imprisoned for three months. Several months will probably follow. But the tennis star’s daughter has hope.
Boris Becker’s daughter, Anna Ermakova, wants her father to get out of prison sooner. The three-time Wimbledon winner was sentenced in late April to two and a half years in prison by a London court for late filing for bankruptcy. Today, one of his four children is speaking out about the situation.
Her father’s sentencing came as “a shock” to Ermakova, she told “Bunte Quarterly” magazine. She also said, “I hope my dad gets out of jail sooner.” And the 22-year-old has one more hope when it comes to her father’s prison sentence, namely “that he feels safe and doesn’t give up”. She adds: “He has the support of his family and his fans.”
Becker is in a relationship with political risk analyst Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro. She visited him several times in prison. At the end of June, his two eldest sons Noah and Elias from Becker’s marriage to Barbara Becker were present for the first time as visitors to the British prison of Huntercombe. After a few weeks in Wandsworth prison in London, Becker was transferred there at the end of May.
