An employee associated with the production of the famous American television series “Law & Order: Organized Crime” was shot dead at a filming location. The 31-year-old man was attacked by an unknown person while in a car clearing parking spaces for filming in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, police said.
The incident happened around 5:15 a.m. local time early Tuesday morning. The assailant opened the door and opened fire before fleeing. The series crew member was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The background to the crime initially remained unclear and no suspects could be arrested.
Production makes a statement
“We are deeply devastated and shocked that one of our crew members has died as a result of a crime. We are working with local law enforcement who are continuing the investigation,” said an NBC spokeswoman and Universal Television, who produce the series. in a report.
Filming is currently underway on the third season of “Law & Order: Organized Crime,” in which Christopher Meloni and Danielle MonĂ© Truitt, among others, solve crimes as members of an NYPD special unit.
